1. “Can I Apply the Advanced Formula Over My Existing Coating?”
Yes, you can. For a quick installation, wipe the vehicle down with Surface Prep and coat it. For longer-lasting, more durable protection, we recommend decontaminating the vehicle with clay and/or machine polishing before applying the new coating.
2. “Can I layer this product to make it last longer?”
Yes, you can layer the product, but applying it more than three times won't significantly extend its effectiveness. Any application beyond three rounds will render the product redundant, providing the same hydrophobic effects.
3. “What is Ceramic Glow Technology?”
Ceramic Glow Technology is a crystalline form of an optical brightener that absorbs energy and emits light as it relaxes back to a lower energy state.
4. “What’s the difference between fluorescence and phosphorescence?”
The difference lies in the length of time the light is emitted, indicating how quickly electrons relax and cease releasing energy in the form of photons or light.
5. “Does the UV Coating act as a durability indicator?”
No, it doesn’t. It serves as an application aid and utility for visualizing the coating. Lack of glow does not indicate a lack of coating.
6. “Why does the product glow more intensely on some substrates than others?”
Differences in porosity and bonding ability result in varying film thickness, with thicker films typically producing a more intense glow.
7. “Will my car glow blue in the sunlight?”
No, the coating is completely invisible and clear under standard light; it only glows a bluish hue under 395 NM UV light.
8. “Will this coating glow after being ‘charged’ with the UV light?”
No, as a fluorescent coating, it only glows when exposed to the UV light; it does not retain a glow after charging.
9. “What can I use this on? Can I just use this on the whole car?”
Graphene Shield Ceramic Coating provides protection for a wide range of areas on your vehicle, including painted surfaces, trim, bed rail covers, plastic engine bay components, headlights, and bed liners.
10. “What happens if I forget a spot or end up with a high spot?”
If caught within 10-20 minutes after removal, reapply to the area and wipe off after 1-2 minutes. For longer durations, use a glaze and a microfiber applicator or machine polishing with correcting polish to rectify imperfections.
1. Prepare your painted surface or glass by thoroughly cleaning and degreasing, removing any existing protection or residual films. Achieve optimal results by washing, clay/decontaminating, and polishing the paint before application.
2. Open the coating bottle and dispense several drops onto your chosen applicator, ensuring it is adequately wet. Work the product into the surface using cross-hatching motions, overlapping each pass by 25-50%. Utilize a UV flashlight between passes to inspect body lines, bumper areas, mirror caps, and commonly overlooked spots. The UV light should reveal a consistent bluish hue to ensure even coverage. If streaking occurs, level it out with additional product.
3. Once the applied product begins to flash and form beads, gently wipe off the coating with minimal pressure on the towel. Use a similar cross-hatch pattern as during application, periodically switching/flipping the towel to level the coating effectively.
4. Allow the coating to fully cure for 24 hours, keeping it free from water, elements, or weathering.
Common Sense Warning: Graphene Shield is a semi-permanent ceramic coating. Avoid contact with eyes, nose, and ingestion—keep away from children. In case of contact, rinse thoroughly with water and monitor for irritation. If irritation persists, contact a physician.
